Getting Started
There are 6 basic steps to get your product from concept to reality. The earlier you engage Soligie, the more effectively we'll be able to improvethe printed electronics design and manufacturing process to meet the requirements of your product.
Step 1: Concept
Step 2: Electronic Schematics
Step 3: Print-Electronics Design
Step 4: Proof of Concept
Step 5: Manufacturing Process Development
Step 6: Volume Manufacturing
Step 1: Concept
During early concept phase, we’ll discuss the desired functional characteristics for your product. How do you want it to function, and what are your “must have” requirements For example, does it need to be waterproof, operate in certain temperatures or be worn with comfort Tell us what you are trying to solve or enable with the design. The result could be a simple sketch or a formal product spec. And from the very beginning, we’ll be keeping manufacturing requirements in mind.

Step 2: Electronic Schematics
You may be familiar with designing traditional electrical schematics to achieve the desired functional requirements for your product, so you may think this step is done. If that’s the case, Soligie can review your existing design for possible enhancements to optimize it for a printed design. Or, if you have no schematics, we can provide the electrical design.
Step 3: Print-Electronics Design
This is where art meets science — converting the traditional electronic schematic into a workable print-electronic design. Again focusing on manufacturability, Soligie combines the right tools from our technology toolbox with in-depth materials knowledge and printing platform experience to create a robust printed-electronics design that meets your requirements and enables the desired functionality.
Step 4: Proof of Concept
Will it really work? This is where you find out. Soligie has a prototyping lab where we can print small runs using the same or similar methods as the high-volume manufacturing process. This helps us validate the design, prove the feasibility of the initial concept and acquire knowledge to help streamline the development of the manufacturing process.

Step 5: Manufacturing Process Development
Leveraging our materials and technology experience, we will define and develop our manufacturing process for delivering your products. You can reduce your R&D expense with our comprehensive understanding of existing and new material options and printed electronics technology developments. Plus, you can improve your time to market by determining the appropriate printing platform and technology solution faster.
Step 6: Volume Manufacturing
Whether you’re trying to make your product lighter, thinner, more flexible or more rugged, our focus on a robust manufacturing solution from the very beginning ensures volume-manufacturing success with your printed technology parts. You get a better process and a better product. Soligie will manufacture your printed electronics at any volume, helping you add both functionality and value to your new product. The result is your product — only better.
